SABA is a cleverly designed, tasteful complex of five luxurious, self-contained villas, four with two bedrooms, one with a single bedroom, and each with a private entrance, swimming pool and interconnecting garden doors. The properties are situated around a central courtyard and can be linked or remain completely exclusive, presenting the option of renting just one bedroom or up to nine bedrooms using all five villas.
SABA is supported by a carefully selected team of highly trained staff, headed by an on-site manager, and includes in-house chefs, butlers, housekeepers, gardeners, pool attendants and security guards providing 24-hour coverage. Child care, health spa services and car with driver can be arranged upon request.
Guests have full, complimentary access to the nearby Canggu Club, Bali’s only international private members’ club, offering sports, dining, social and leisure facilities, including a state-of-the-art gym, a 25-metre swimming pool and a tennis and squash centre.
Modern yet traditional, each villa is unique. Intricate architectural design, commissioned local artwork and antique fittings are among the tiny details that make any stay at SABA unforgettable.
Each spacious, air-conditioned bedroom features ceiling fans, teakwood flooring, sliding glass doors opening on to the garden, fitted wardrobes with drawers and hanging space, full length mirrors and a wall safe. All bedrooms are furnished with king size beds with five-star bedding. In the Master Villas, the main bedrooms also have an office desk and a walk-in dressing room. The second bedrooms have king-sized beds which can be converted into twin beds if required. All bedrooms are equipped with a 37” LCD TV/DVD player and cable television plus a JBL Radial iPod speaker system.
All bedrooms have elegant en-suite, open-air bathrooms, fitted with terrazzo bathtubs, a standing rain shower, double washbasins and a toilet. Bathroom floors are non-slip while bathtubs and showers are encircled by tropical shrubbery though sheltered from the elements by overhanging roofs.
SABA is located near Berawa Beach, between Semanyak and Canggu, on Bali’s south-western coast, just 30 to 40 minutes from the international airport. The area is home to some of the most luxurious private residences on the island. Bounded by emerald rice terraces, the peaceful vista is enhanced on clear days by the magical sight of the mountains in the early mornings and evenings.
Nevertheless, secluded SABA is a mere ten minute drive from the popular Seminyak area, with its wide choice of international restaurants – including ‘Kafe Warisan’, ‘Ku Dé Ta’, ‘Living Room’, ‘Hu’u’, ‘La Lucciola’ and ‘Sarong’ – together with a plethora of chic cocktail bars, nightclubs, lavish spas and elegant boutiques. The nearby sweeping beaches are a pleasant 5 to 10 minute walk away and are renowned for panoramic coastline views, legendary sunsets and world-class surf breaks. A choice of local restaurants and a deli supermarket are also within walking distance.
The neighbouring district of Kerobokan is famous for its furniture workshops, antique and curio shops. The Umalas Equestrian Centre is just a few kilometres away and the Greg Norman designed Nirwana Golf Course is a 30 minute drive.
